ESWC Nord-Américaines à Montréal!

C’est un petit pas pour l’homme, mais un pas de géant pour les eSports québécois! L’ESWC (Electronic Sports World Cup) et le Mondial des jeux — Loto-Québec, en collaboration avec CyberActiv ont annoncé la première qualification nord-américaine de l’ESWC! L’ESWC est un tournoi international de eSports et c’est la première fois dans l’histoire des eSports qu’un évènement de cette envergure sera tenu en sol canadien (et Québécois, bien entendu). Les joueurs qui participeront à l’évènement auront la chance incroyable de se battre avec les meilleurs de notre continent dans leur jeu de prédilection!
Deux évènements majeurs auront lieu, un tournoi de qualification pour Call of Duty : Ghosts et pour Counter-Strike : Global Offensive. La première place de chaque tournoi sera une place réservée pour la finale des ESWC durant la Paris Game Week, en France, avec voyage et hébergement inclus! Plus de détails sur les tournois en bas!
Pour l’instant, quatre équipes ont été confirmées et nous attendons encore des nouvelles des quatre autres. Les équipes sont les suivantes:
• Armata (Équipe Canadienne)
• compLexity (Équipe US)
• IBUYPOWER (Équipe US)
• Exertus (Équipe US)
• 4 équipes de plus à venir
Les tournois feront partie des activités qui forment le cœur du Mondial des jeux Loto-Québec, celui-ci se déroulera dans le cadre du festival Juste Pour Rire. Le festival se déroulera du 12 au 26 juillet, sur la place des festivals, en plein cœur du centre-ville de Montréal. Les tournois, quant à eux, auront lieu au Théatre Telus, le 18 et 19 juillet. Les billets pour assister au spectacle seront disponibles sous peu, mais si vous ne pouvez pas vous présenter en personne, tout l’évènement sera streamé live!
Pour conclure, Montreal Gaming sera sur les lieux pour tout suivre de l’action et en plus nous avons eu l’honneur de nous occuper d’organiser le tournoi de CoD : Ghosts! Nous serons donc présents deux fois plutôt qu’une au Théatre Télus afin de vous apporter le meilleur du eSports québécois!

ESWC North America in Montreal!

It’s a small step for man, but a giant leap for Quebec eSports! The ESWC (Electronic Sports World Cup) and the Loto-Quebec World game event, in collaboration with CyberActiv have announced the first North American qualifiers for the ESWC! Why is it great? Here, i’ll explain…
The ESWC is a tournament spanning multiple games and continents and for the first time in eSport history, an event of that caliber will be taking place in Montreal, Quebec in Canada. The players participating will have the opportunity to duke it out with the best of them, and a shot at a slot in the ESWC finals at the Paris Game Week, in France! In fact, the first place of both major tournaments are an all-expense-paid trip to Paris and a place in the finals of the ESWC.
As of now, two major tournaments have been announced, as well as four teams.
• Team Armata (CAN)
• Team compLexity (US)
• Team IBUYPOWER (US)
• Team Exertus (US)
• Four more should be announced shortly
The tournaments will be part of the activities that will be at the heart of the Loto-Quebec World game event, which is part of the famous Just For Laughs Festival. The festival will take place between July 12th and 26th, in the gorgeous Place des Festivals. Tickets will soon be available so you can go to the tournament, being held in the Telus Theatre, to watch all the action. If you cant make it out to join us, you will also be able to stream the event live from the comfort of your own home! The tournaments will happen on July 18th and 19th, the precise schedule will be unveiled later, as more info comes in!
In conclusion, Montreal Gaming will be there to cover the events as well as to organize the CoD tournament, so our team will be there twice as much, running around to give all of you the best eSports experience you could have!
