SUMMARY:MTLSF'S UNDERGROUND HYPE X
DESCRIPTION:MTLSF’S UNDERGROUND HYPE X\nWassup MTLSF! \nWe are back once more with our 10th tournament serie! This one will mark our one year anniversary so we hope to see you guys in great numbers to celebrate with us! We will have a great honor of welcoming some out of town warriors coming to us straight from Toronto for this special event. Once again\, we are very pleased to announce that we will still have “Orange Maison” as a sponsor for our next event\, which will provide free cans of “Base” energy drinks to keep the hype going for the whole evening! Starting this event\, since every major tournament will now be run on PS4\, we will start going in that direction so the consoles used for the tournament will be XBOX360 and PS4 and the main station will be run on PS4 (Please bring a dual mode stick if you can in order to run the tournament smoothly). Other than the regular USFIV main tournament\, there will be a side event for UMVC3 which is detailed below. There will be interesting raffle prizes given away for those who enter the tournaments where for each tournament entered the player will receive a ticket which will be used for a raffle. Although we have a lot of monitors on site\, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could bring an XBOX360 or PS4 with the latest version of USFIV. For those who already been at our last events or who have read the description of our previous events\, the following is pretty much a copy-paste of the same description. However\, here is a resume of the main points of the evening:\n–5$ entry\n-Open from 2pm to 11pm\n-UMVC3 side tournament starts at 5pm\, 5$ tournament fee\, XBOX360\n-USFIV main event starts at 7pm\, 5$ tournament fee\, PS4 and XBOX360\n-Hot-dogs available at 1$ each\n-Free bottles of water\n-Free cans of “Base” energy drinks (provided by “Orange Maison“)\n-Raffles draw at 7pm \nIf you are new to this event\, its objective is simply to bring the local FGC together where anyone is welcome to join (underage included). If you consider yourself a casual player\, this event will give you the experience of participating in a casual tournament. Instead of fighting your regular friends or people you don’t know online\, you will have the opportunity of fighting real local people\, each with their own style and knowledge\, who share the same hobby as you. Although it will revolve a lot around Street Fighter\, if you play other fighting games\, you are more than welcome since we will have several other fight games title available for casuals and you can also bring your own. \nEquipment and stations\n\n\n\n\n\nPlus / More\nSelectShow\n\n\nSeveral stations will be available under PS3\, XBoX360 and PS4. We will have a casual station under the PS3 where anyone can bring their own fighting game hoping to get some action (The following games will already be in place: Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3\, Marvel VS Capcom 2: New Age Of Heroes\, Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN\, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike\, Street Fighter Alpha 3\, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo). For those who wish to play as many people as possible at USFIV during the casuals\, many stations will be playing USFIV and you can just call out “next” any time you wish. If you want to bring your own personal equipment (monitor or console)\, you are welcome to do so and it will be much appreciated as there is plenty of space for extra stations. Please note that you must bring your own pad/stick to the event.\n\n\n\n\n  \nTime\, date and fees\n\n\n\n\n\nPlus / More\nSelectShow\n\n\nThe event will take place on Saturday November 21st and the place will be open from 2pm until 11pm. The casuals will start at 2pm and going until closure\, the tournament for USFIV will start at 7pm and the side tournament for UMVC3 will start at 5pm. An entry fee of 5$ will be charged per person to enter and an extra 5$ will be charged per tournament entry if you wish to enter the tournament (explained in detail below) to help cover the expenses. Please note that the point of this event is not to make money\, but to assemble the local Fighting Game Community together. As a matter of fact\, once the expenses are covered\, the extra money will go to the winners of the USFIV tournament.\n\n\n\n\n  \nMain Tournament (USFIV)\nOther than the 5$ entry fee\, an additional 5$ will be required if you wish to enter the tournament. The tournament will be for Ultra Street Fighter IV (Ultra version only) and will be played either on PS4 or XBOX360\, based on the agreement of the 2 players who are at their turn to play. The tournament will be starting at 7pm and will be a double elimination style (Winners and Losers brackets). The winning prizes will be the exceeding of profits over expenses made during the evening (100% entry fees + 100% USFIV tournament fees – 100% minor expenses). \n  \nSide Tournament (UMVC3)\nWe will also run a side tournament for UMVC3 where an additional 5$ will be required if you wish to participate. The side tournament will be played onXBOX360. The tournament will begin at 5pm and will be a single elimination style. The sets will be best 3 out of 5. The winning prize will be 100% of the UMVC3 tournament fees. \n  \nLocation\n\n\n\n\n\nPlus / More\nSelectShow\n\n\nThe local itself is situated at the main floor of a condominium and is usually used for war veterans meetings\, so we only ask of you to treat it respectfully. The local was the best location I could find for the relation quality/price and will allow a bigger pot for the winner(s) of the tournament. It can hold around 60 persons\, so we would greatly appreciate if you could click the “Going” button under the event if you are serious about coming to help us keep track of the number of participants. The local is situated at 4885 Boulevard Henri-Bourassa West (corner Henri-Bourassa and Marcel Laurin)\, and is located at the BACK of the building. The entrance is easily identifiable with the big maple leafs stickers on the door and the mention LEGION written.\nIf you come by car\, there is a train station right in front of the local which you can use for parking. I discussed this point with the owner of the local in order to not have any problems with towing since the parking spot is for the users of the train\, but he assured me that there should be no such problems. He always refer to that parking spot for people who are using this local and had no problems in the past since there is nobody present on place nor cameras that verifies if you truly are a customer for the train. So as for the parking spot\, it is only a suggestion and is at your own discretion. Note that if you park your car there\, it will be easily visible from the local itself. The train station parking mentioned is the second entrance on your right\, just after you passed Henri-Bourassa while going on Marcel-Laurin north\, and not the first one\, which is reserved for residents with a pass.\nIf you come by either metro or bus\, I suggest you to use the STM website and the “Itinéraire” tab which will allow you to enter your address and the local’s address and will propose you different travel options which you can then choose the most convenient one for you. If you managed to come by public transportation and are willing to tag along until closing time (around 11h30pm)\, it will be my pleasure to drop you off afterwards to the metro or even home depending on where you live.\n\n\n\n\n  \nOther basic information\n– There are men and women bathrooms.\n– There will be free bottle of waters provided.\n– There will be free cans of “Base” energy drinks provided by “Orange Maison”\n– A kitchen will be at our disposal so you can bring your own food or soft drinks if you want. Please note that the only thing you cannot bring regarding food and beverages is alcohol.\n– For all of you who would like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while gaming\, rest assured as the owner will be present at the bar for alcohol selling. When you pass through the main entry door\, at your left will be the gaming room and at your right will be the bar with the owner. To enter the bar you must be at least 18 years old. It will be possible for you to bring the alcohol beverage bought from the bar into the gaming room.\n– Due to the lack of restaurants in the nearby area\, the owner will be selling hot-dogs at 1$ each during the event.\n– Wi-Fi connection will be available (very limited connection though). \nIf you like the sound of this event\, please help support it by coming by and having a good time gaming with people who share the same hobby as you. With your participation and support\, it could easily be an event that I could arrange to host regularly for you guys. \nI tried to be as much detailed as I can for this post by giving as much information as I could\, but if you have any questions regarding subjects that aren’t covered in this post\, feel free to send me your questions by Facebook messaging and I will get back to you as soon as possible. \nHope to see you guys there in great numbers! \nSincerely yours\,\nPavel (EVO–777) & Yuk (Red_Cel)

SUMMARY:Earthroot Gaming - Friday Night League
DESCRIPTION:Français\n\n \nFriday Night League\n  \nEn partenariat avec Earthroot Gaming\, la «ERG League» organisera un tournoi à chaque vendredi. \n  \n2.3. \n  \n3.3 Protocole d’avant-match \n\nThe higher seed has the host. The tournaments scores will be recorded in one and single ranking which will start over after every season of 3 months. The tournaments are called ‘’Friday Night League’’ and they will be single-elimination. \n  \n  \n1. Registrations\n1.1. How To Register? \nThe owner or the captain of the team must register their team for every Friday Night League(FNL) on battlefy. The link will be provided on Earthroot Gaming Website and on ERG League facebook page. The registrations are completely FREE. \n  \n1.2. Registration period \nThe registrations are open between the end of the last FNL and the next friday at 5 pm EAST. \n  \n1.3. Account Requirements \nTeams must only be constituted of players that own a level 30 account\, so they are allowed to receive Riot prizes. Any player holding a level 30 account will be accepted regardless of his/her in-game ranking.\n1.4. Age Limitation \nThere is no age limit or minimum to be part of this league. However\, some FNL may end later than others. Hence why\, the captain must make sure that every players in their team is able to compete during the whole night. \n2. General Information\n\n2.1. Prize Pool \nThe basic prize pool is 500$ for the season but may increase according to different factors which will be determined at given moment. The FNL administration will inform everyone if there is any changes. Nonetheless\, the prize pool can only increase and can never decrease. \n  \n2.2. Prize Pool Distribution \nEven if the prize pool may increase during the season\, the distribution will stay the same. The participation prize will be randomly distributed between 4 teams (excluding the top 3) which have participated in at least 25 percent of the FNL. \n\n1st place: 40 percent of total Prize Pool;\n2nd Place: 20 percent of total Prize Pool;\n3rd Place: 10 percent of total Prize Pool;\nParticipation: 30 percent of total Prize Pool;\n\n  \nPrizes will be sent to captain’s Paypal account. Hence\, it’s the captain’s duty to make sure every players of their team has been rewarded correctly. ERGL and it’s staff are not responsible of any intern problems and the money distribution within the team itself. \n  \n2.3. Brackets and Seeding \nThere is no team limit. The seeding will be pseudo-randomed: the top 4 teams\, according to the ERGL ranking\, will be separated in the brackets while the other teams are going to be seeded randomly by Battlefy system. Even though it may sound unfair\, we’re doing this to make the league as entertaining as it can be to everyone. \n  \n2.4. Points and Ranking \nEvery season\, a scoreboard will be set to determine the ranking. Teams will receive points at each FNL they attend according to this chart. \n \nThe prize pool will be divided at the end of the season according to the said scoreboard. \n  \n3. Rules\n3.1. Team Managing \nThe first time a team is registered\, the name will automatically be locked to the player who registered said team and this player will be named captain. Thus\, this team name can only be used by this one person. The team captain can be changed once a month\, however the old and new captain must contact the ERGL to warn them about this change. \n  \nExample: \n\n\n\nAt the first FNL\, Bob decides to register his team named ‘’GOOD TEAM’’. At this moment\, Bob is registered as the captain of the ‘’GOOD TEAM’’. \nFNL #2 Invalid inscription: Jimmy tries to register his team and he calls it ‘’GOOD TEAM’’. The registration will be canceled because ‘’GOOD TEAM’’ name belongs to Bob. \nFNL #2 Valid Inscription: Bob tries to register ‘’GOOD TEAM’’ once again. \n\n\n\n  \n3.2. General rules \n\nAll matches will be played on North America servers;\nYou’re not allowed to use any programs that can modify any of the games data;\nPlayers are not allowed to ‘’trash-talk’’ and/or use any sort of discrimination toward the other teams or the ERGL staff;\nEvery player must demonstrate good sportsmanship and agree to terms and conditions as planned by Riot Games in the Summoner’s code;\nAll matches will be played on Summoner’s Rift map in the Tournament Draft format;\nA match will be played to determine who’s finished 3rd and 4th. If a team doesn’t want to play the match\, they will automaticly be granted a loss.\nMatches will start at 7PM and will be presented on Twitch.\n\n  \nAll behavior that is not in line with these rules could result in a disqualification and/or permanent ban from the ERGL. If this happen at the end of the season\, the ERGL has the right to cancel your reward and redistribute all of the money you should have earned. \n  \n  \n3.3 Pre-match Protocol \n\nEvery team has to elect a representative (captain/coach) that will be responsible of communicating with the ERGL Team.\nThe captain/coach needs to be online on League of Legends and TeamSpeak 15 minutes before the match starts. Teamspeak: ts3.earthrootgaming.ca\nThe whole team has to be online and in the lobby 10 minutes before the match starts.\nIt is the team’s responsibility to verify their equipment as well as their runes and masteries\, items sets\, etc.\nIf a team is still missing a player at the end of the period\, it will be granted an additional 5 minutes to find a substitute player.\nERGL will grant a 5 minute period if a player is late due to technical difficulties.\nAny other delay judged unjustified by the ERGL staff will result in an automatic disqualification.\nThe higher seed has the host. They have to create the custom game and invite the opponent.\n\n  \n3.4 Ingame Rules \n\nA match becomes official on the first blood\, first turret or when the in-game timer reaches 4:00.\nAn official match cannot be replayed or restarted.\nIf any technical issue would require a match to be replayed\, you must notice the ERGL staff before the match is official otherwise it will continue normally.\nIf a technical issue is encountered during champion select or the loading screen\, the champion select phase will restart with the same picks and bans than the original champion select phase.\nIf an in-game bug is encountered and prevents the match from being played\, it will be canceled and a new match will be played instead (with new picks/bans).\nEvery team has an overall in-game pause time of 5 minutes.\n\n  \n\nWatch live video from ERGLeague on www.twitch.tv

SUMMARY:MTLSF'S UNDERGROUND HYPE XII
\nSincerely yours\,\nPavel (EVO–777) & Yuk (Red_Cel) \n\nEnglish\n\n \nMTLSF’S UNDERGROUND HYPE XII\nWe are back once more with our 12th tournament series\, just in time with the launch of SFV! The event will take place about 1 week and a half after the launch to give a little practice before crowning our first champion for this brand new title. For the past months\, SFV was probably on everyone’s mind and finally it has arrived! While USFIV helped build fighting game communities for close to a decade\, this brand new title has a lot of promise in strengthening those communities and we are very pleased in being a part of that. With this game\, a brand new chapter is opened\, new legends will arise as well as feared and fearless warriors will be created. While some had more time to spend on the beta or the cracked version\, the game is still brand new and it’s anyone’s chance to rise. For this next event\, we are going to focus mainly on this brand new title and so\, the tournament will start a little bit earlier and there will be no side event. Once again\, we are very pleased to announce that we will still have “Orange Maison” as a sponsor for our next event\, which will provide free cans of “Base” energy drinks to keep the hype going for the whole evening! As usual\, there will be interesting raffle prizes to be won if you entered the tournament. Also\, with only 2 months left until LANETS which will feature a Street Fighter V tournament\, if you haven’t done so yet\, be sure to register at lanets.ca as the prize pool should be influenced on the number of registries. \nFor those who already been at our last events or who have read the description of our previous events\, the following is pretty much a copy-paste of the same description\, however\, be sure to check out the “Equipment and stations” section below for new information regarding the events.\nHere is a resume of the main points of the evening:\n–5$ entry\n-Open from 2pm to 11pm\n-SFV main event starts at 6pm\, 5$ tournament fee\, PS4 only\n-Hot-dogs available at 1$ each\n-Free bottles of water\n-Free cans of “Base” energy drinks (provided by “Orange Maison“)\n-Raffles draw at 6pm \nIf you are new to this event\, its objective is simply to bring the local FGC together where anyone is welcome to join (underage included). \nEquipment and stations\nWe recently acquired several gaming monitors for the events so there should not be a problem with screens. However\, we are missing PS4 consoles for the tournament and casuals. Anyone willing to bring a PS4 console to the event will receive a refund for their 5$ entry fee. If you think about bringing your PS4 to the event\, please message one of the two hosts in order to let them know what to expect and so they can plan accordingly. For the nostalgic USFIV players\, most of the PS4 stations on site should have USFIV installed so you should be able to kick in some casuals for this game and there will also be a XBOX360 with the game as well. For those who wish to play as many people as possible at SFV during the casuals\, many stations will be playing the game and you can just call out “next” anytime you wish. \nTime\, date and fees\nThe event will take place on Saturday February 27th and the place will be open from 2pm until 11pm. The casuals will start at 2pm and going until closure\, the tournament for SFV will start at 6pm. An entry fee of 5$ will be charged per person to enter and an extra 5$ will be charged for the tournament entry if you wish to enter the tournament (explained in detail below) to help cover the expenses. Please note that the point of this event is not to make money\, but to assemble the local Fighting Game Community together. As a matter of fact\, once the expenses are covered\, the extra money will go to the winners of the SFV tournament. \nMain Tournament (SFV)\nOther than the 5$ entry fee\, an additional 5$ will be required if you wish to enter the tournament. The tournament will be for Street Fighter V and will be played on PS4 only. The tournament will be starting at 6pm and will be a double elimination style (Winners and Losers brackets). The tournament will be a best 2 out of 3 until the finals (Winners\, Losers and Grand Finale)\, which will be a best 3 out of 5. The winning prizes will be the exceeding of profits over expenses made during the evening (100% entry fees + 100% SFV tournament fees – 100% minor expenses) and will be spread as following: 1st – 55%\, 2nd – 30% and 3rd – 15%. \nLocation\nThe local itself is situated at the main floor of a condominium and is usually used for war veterans meetings\, so we only ask of you to treat it respectfully. If you managed to come by public transportation and are willing to tag along until closing time (around 11h30pm)\, it will be my pleasure to drop you off afterwards to the metro or even home depending on where you live. \nOther basic information\n– There are men and women bathrooms.\n– There will be free bottle of waters provided.\n– There will be free cans of “Base” energy drinks provided by “Orange Maison”\n– A kitchen will be at our disposal so you can bring your own food or soft drinks if you want. With your participation and support\, it could easily be an event that we could arrange to host regularly for you guys.

SUMMARY:MTLSF'S UNDERGROUND HYPE XIV (Team Battle)
DESCRIPTION:MTLSF’S UNDERGROUND HYPE XIV (Team Battle)\nWassup MTLSF! \nWe are back once more with our 14th tournament serie! For this next Underground Hype event\, to make things a bit more interesting and since everyone seemed to enjoy the format when we did it last time at the final chapter of USFIV\, it will be a team battle format\, but instead of being 3VS3 it will be 2VS2 (Check out the “Main Tournament (SFV)” section below for all the details regarding the rules). Once again\, we are proud to have “Orange Maison” as a sponsor for our next event\, which will provide free cans of “Base” energy drinks to keep the hype going for the whole evening! As usual\, there will be interesting raffle prizes to be won if you entered the tournament. Regarding the equipment\, as our last events\, we will have plenty of lagless monitors all around but are missing PS4 consoles. Anyone willing to bring a PS4 console to the event will receive a refund for their 5$ entry fee. If you think about bringing your PS4 to the event\, please post your intention under the event or simply message one of the hosts in order to let them know what to expect so they can plan accordingly.\nFor those who already been at our last events or who have read the description of our previous events\, the following is pretty much a copy-paste of the same description\, however\, be sure to check out the “Main tournament (SFV)” section below for new information regarding the upcoming event.\nHere is a resume of the main points of the evening:\n-5$ entry\n-Open from 2pm to 11pm\n-SFV main event starts at 6pm\, 5$ tournament fee\, PS4 only\, 2VS2 Team Battle\n-Hot-dogs available at 1.50$ each\n-Free bottles of water\n-Free cans of “Base” energy drinks (provided by “Orange Maison”)\n-Raffles draw at 6pm \nTournament rules\n-Team Battle (2 VS 2)\n-Best 2 out of 3 all the way\n-Double bracket (Winners & Losers)\n-Dualshock 4 pads\, Converters and Legacy Controller Authentication allowed \nIf you are new to this event\, its objective is simply to bring the local FGC together where anyone is welcome to join (underage included). \nDualshock 4 pads\, Converters and Legacy Controller Authentication\nSince the last event\, it seems as everyone got more familiar with the Legacy Controller Authentication which didn’t waste any time configuring and everyone had the reflex to check the paired controllers on the system before starting a tournament match\, so we will still allow it at the next event. But please\, before your match do not forget to unpair all devices that shouldn’t be there by going to Settings->Devices->Bluetooth Devices and select all of the DUALSHOCK 4 that are off and DELETE them. \nTime\, date and fees\nThe event will take place on Saturday May 28th and the place will be open from 2pm until 11pm. The casuals will start at 2pm and going until closure and the tournament for SFV will start at 6pm. It will be a 2 VS 2 team battle format. Each player will fight against the opposing opponent\, if you win one match\, you will face the next opponent. If you win again\, the match resets and you win 1 point\, first to 2 points wins. When the match resets\, you can then switch characters if you want or switch for your team mate to let him begin instead. It will be first to 2 for all tournament matches\, even the finals. If you come and don’t have a team mate\, we will try to match you with another person who is alone\, and if need be\, one of the organizers will enter as well so don’t be discouraged to come even if you don’t have anybody because it is guaranteed that you will be a part of a team. The winning prizes will be the exceeding of profits over expenses made during the evening (100% entry fees + 100% SFV tournament fees – 100% minor expenses) and will be spread as following: 1st – 70%\, 2nd – 20% and 3rd – 10%. \nLocation\nThe local itself is situated at the main floor of a condominium and is usually used for war veterans meetings\, so we only ask of you to treat it respectfully. The local was the best location I could find for the relation quality/price and will allow a bigger pot for the winner of the tournament. It will be possible for you to bring the alcohol beverage bought from the bar into the gaming room.\n– Due to the lack of restaurants in the nearby area\, the owner will be selling hot-dogs at 1.50$ each during the event.\n– Wi-Fi connection will be available (very limited connection though). \nIf you like the sound of this event\, please help support it by coming by and having a good time gaming with people who share the same hobby as you. With your participation and support\, it could easily be an event that we could arrange to host regularly for you guys. \nEvent Main Admin\nMTLSF\, Pavel Szczypior\, Yuk Tang \nSincerely yours\,\nPavel (EVO–777) & Yuk (Red_Cel)
