Après deux années couronnées de succès pour le festival DreamHack Montréal, l’édition 2018 déménage au Stade olympique afin de répondre à la demande grandissante des adeptes de sports électroniques.

Ainsi, du vendredi 7 au dimanche 9 septembre 2018, DreamHack Montéal, le plus grand rassemblement de sports électroniques au Canada, se tiendra dans l’emblématique amphithéâtre de l’avenue Pierre-De Coubertin, hôte des Jeux olympiques de 1976. Ce déménagement permettra à l’équipe de DreamHack de soutenir la popularité croissante du sport électroniques et des jeux video au pays, en plus de présenter du nouveau contenu pour les 10,000 visiteurs attendus.
Cette année, DreamHack Montréal 2018 présentera plus d’une dizaine de tournois, dont plus de la moitié seront ouverts au public, notamment :
- Starcraft 2 – WCS Montreal 2018
StarCraft est l’un des plus anciens titres d’esport à DreamHack. Le Championnat du Monde StarCraft II arrive à DreamHack Montréal pour la troisième année consécutive! La compétition est bien connue pour les joueurs et les fans de StarCraft II! Cette année, à DreamHack Montréal, un total de 100,000$ sera en jeu! - DreamHack Open – Counter Strike Global Offensive
Fans de CS: GO, préparez-vous! DreamHack Open arrive à DreamHack Montréal pour la troisième année consécutive. Comme d’habitude, DreamHack Open présentera CS: GO avec un prize pool de 100 000 $ et 8 équipes de CS: GO du monde entier. - Street Fighter V – Premier event
Les joueurs qui participents au Classement Capcom Pro Tour 2018 et au Global Premier Events gagneront des points en termes de classement mondial. À la fin de l’année, les meilleurs joueurs du classement mondial et les finalistes régionaux seront recrutés pour combler les places restantes pour la Capcom Cup 2018. Les joueurs et les fans peuvent voir qui est en lice pour la Coupe Capcom à tout moment en allant à les classements CPT sur ce site. - Brawlhalla
Préparez-vous, prenez l’arme la plus proche et enfilez votre casque de Viking, Brawlhalla arrive à DreamHack Montréal!Le tournoi Brawlhalla se composera d’un tournoi simple et d’un double avec une bourse total de 20,000 $!Pour participer au tournoi, vous devez avoir au moins un billet visiteur, votre propre contrôleur et n’oubliez pas de vous inscrire avant l’événement! - Super Smash Bros. Twelve tournament spots are dedicated to Pro League teams on a first come, first served basis. The top four teams from the open BYOC qualifier will fill the remaining spots. The BYOC qualifier is open for any team to join; the only requirements being a five-man lineup, valid DreamHack Montreal BYOC tickets per team member, and of course – a strong competitive spirit! In addition to $25,000 the winner of the tournament will secure a guaranteed spot at the Six Invitational 2019! - Dreamhack Gran Prix – Hearthstone

After two successful years for the esport festival DreamHack Montreal, the 2018 edition is moving to the Olympic Stadium to meet the growing demand from video game enthusiasts.

From Friday, September 7 to Sunday, September 9, DreamHack Montreal, Canada’s largest esport gathering, will be held in the iconic amphitheater of the avenue Pierre-De Coubertin, host of the 1976 Olympic Games. This change of venue will allow the DreamHack team to support the growing popularity of the esport in the country, as well as presenting new content for all visitors.
This year, DreamHack Montreal 2018 will present more than ten different tournaments, more than half of which will be open to public, including:
- Starcraft 2 – WCS Montreal 2018
StarCraft has been one of the longest standing DreamHack esport titles. StarCraft II World Championship is coming to DreamHack Montreal for a third year in a row! The competition is well known for hardcore StarCraft II gamers and fans! This years stop at DreamHack Montreal will award players with a prize pool of $100,000! - DreamHack Open – Counter Strike Global Offensive
For all you CS:GO fans out there – prepare yourself! DreamHack Open is coming to DreamHack Montréal for the third year in a row. As usual, DreamHack Open will feature CS:GO with a $100,000 in prize pool and 8 CS:GO teams from around the world. - Street Fighter V – Premier event
Players who compete in Capcom Pro Tour 2018 Ranking and Global Premier Events will gain points towards their Global Leaderboard standing. At the end of the year, the top players from the Global Leaderboard and Regional Finalists will be taken to fill out the remaining spots in Capcom Cup 2018. Players and fans can see who is in the running for Capcom Cup at any time by going to the CPT leaderboards on this site. - Brawlhalla
Prepare yourself, grab the weapon closest to you and put on your Viking helmet, Brawlhalla is coming to DreamHack Montreal!The Brawlhalla tournament will consist of a singles and doubles with a total prize pool of $20,000! To participate in the tournament you need at minimum a GA ticket, your own controller and remember to sign up before the event! - Super Smash Bros.
