 Overwatch

To be announced

Tournament rules:
 For Hearthstone
 Day 1: Round-Robin
-Players are grouped together. Number of groups and players per group depends on number of entrants.
There will be 6 groups total. So, for 32 players, 3 groups of 6 and 2 groups of 7
-Players bring four decks with no duplicate classes. Players submit these decks ahead of time. These decks cannot be changed during the duration of the round-robin section.
-Within their groups, players a best of 3 games match against all other players in their group.
-Prior to each match, players ban one of their opponent’s decks (meaning it can’t be used for the duration of the match, but the ban wears off at the end of the match).
-Each match is last hero standing, which means that if a player loses, they cannot re-use that same deck for the rest of the match. A player who wins can use that deck again during the match.
-If a game ends in a tie, neither player receives a victory or a loss (the game effectively isn’t counted for tournament results).
-Each match win counts for a certain amount of points. The players with the top 8 scores move on to the second day of the tournament.

Strategies for tie-breaking:
-Consider a match won 2:0 as being worth more points than a match won 2:1
-If time permits, play a second set of round-robin matches to break ties

Day 2: Elimination bracket
 • Top X players compete bracket-style.
o So, if you start with 16 players, you eliminate down to 8, then down to 4, down to 2, and finally down to 1

• The matches this time are best of five last hero standing
o Players bring 6 decks that do not have to be the same as the previous day’s decks (they can make card changes to previous decks or bring completely new decks)
o At the very least, players need 2 more decks than from the previous day
o Players will also ban one of their opponent’s decks
o Again, if a player loses with a deck, they cannot play it again. If they win with a deck, they can play it again
 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First usage of known exploits or bugs will result in a forfeit of the current game. A second usage of known exploits or bugs will result in disqualification and potentially bans from participating in further tournaments.
A formal complaint regarding behaviour and/or bugs needs to occur no more than 15 minutes after the game ended, otherwise the matter will be considered as closed
Admins will reserve the right to disqualify a team based on their behaviour at their sole discretion if something noteworthy is brought to their attention

Any sanctioned spectators such as tournament admins and/or affiliated streamers may not be rejected by the teams

The above rules are to be seen as a guideline but can be updated by head admin at any time to reflect last minute changes or clarifications/modifications as required.
